Aprovecho para preguntar una duda…. tengo una carpeta compartida en un pc donde quiero que el Jdownloader haga las descargas pero no se como montarla (uso mount.cifs pero aunque la monta no me deja escribir nada en ella)

I installed jDownloader on my Debian Server in a little different way.

First I add this to /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/jd-team/jdownloader/ubuntu VERSION main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/jd-team/jdownloader/ubuntu YOUR_UBUNTU_VERSION main

Replace VERSION with lucid if you’re running Squeeze (stable), natty if you’re on Wheezy (testing) or hardy if yu’re on Lenny (oldstable).

Then add the key for the repo with:
# apt-key adv –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-keys 6A68F637

Update and install jdownloader:
# apt-get update
# apt-get install jdownloder

With the above method you’ll get updates and the application is integrated into the Debian Pack Management System.

Instead of using VNC you can also start jDownloader over SSH X Forwarding if you’re on a system that supports it (most Linux dists do).

ssh -X normaluser@hostname-of-server
jdownloader $

With the “$” at the end jDownloader will keep running if you close the terminal connection so you will still be able to use the Web Interface.
